Poetic Psychology...

Without a cause…

Matthew 5:22 KJV But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. These three…

Matthew 5:22 KJV
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

These three words…

Just made me pause…

Because I’ve been beating myself up over this…

Being angry at myself…

For being angry…

Trying to get a grip on this…

Because it never made sense…

Why wouldn’t Jesus accept us…

Isn’t it normal to be angry when someone hurts us???

But He DOES…

They translated a lie…

So that we would buy

The version that enslaved us

To shame and corruption…

To guilt and dysfunction…

No wonder I’ve been sufferin’…

Experiencing mental anguish…

And cognitive dissonance…

Because they left out three little words in the modern rendition

Of the book I’ve been using

To define my reality…

And now I am so happy…

Because I know He understands me…

HE knew I wasn’t angry

Without a cause…

In fact, I’ve had many…

Therefore, finally, I believe that I  am really free…

That I can truly say that I am “not guilty”…
