Isaiah 53:5 NIV
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
The punishment
That brought US peace…
That just doesn’t seem right to me…
That everything we did
Had to fall on Him
Who never did anything…
Anything WRONG, that is…
He did A LOT right…
He healed the sick…
Cast out demons…
Gave the blind back their sight…
I still ask Him
Sometimes…
Why?
He always says,
“you know the answer…
because I SO loved this world…
I was willing to do anything…”
Which is exactly
How I want to be…
So, please, Father…
Grant me the ability
To be a better daughter
And live more like Your Son…
